What do you think are the best albums and rock bands by decade (you are welcome to add as many as you want in any decade this is my list is as followed 1950's 1.Elvis Presley 2.Buddy Holly 3.Jerry Lee Lewis 4.Chuck Berry 5.Little Richard. 6.Fats Domino 7.Gene Vincent 8.Carl Perkins 9.Bill Haley 10.Bo Diddly 1960s (not in any specific order... but I will say the Beach Boys are my favorite) 1. The Beach Boys 2. The Beatles 3. Jimi Hendrix 4. Bob Dylan 5. Jefferson Airplane 6. The Byrds 7. The Doors 8. The Monkees 9. Velvet Underground 10. Creedence Clearwater Revival 1970s (not in an specific order.. but probably Boston is my favorite) 1. Boston 2. Styx 3. REO Speedwagon 4. Kiss 5. Grand Funk Railroad 6. Led Zeppelin 7. Journey 8. I think you will notice that the majority of my favorite Bands are American... and very very few are Internationalll its just I never really got up with the hype of many of them .. I always thought The Beatles were extremely overrated.... one of the best bands of the 1960s.. but not the best.. I always believed that title belonged to the Beach Boys in the 70s.. I never got Black Sabbath.. they had some good songs but I cant see how they are considered the "Godfathers" of Heavy Metal.. when The Grand Funk Railroads first albums were alot "Heavier" (not to mention band slike Blue Cheer :P) Led Zeppelin is probably my favor non American Band.... and on my all time list they are easily in the top 15.. maybe 10 but I still found alot of American bands from the 1970s to be superior to them thats my own personal opinion I am sure you will have something different to say and I would love to see what you top 10 of each decade is ALSO you will notice I did not include one for the previous decade... 2000s.. I think Rock N Roll just fell apart... when the best selling Rock band RAPS...... I still think they are good though (and I would probably have my top 10 bands as.....something along the line of.. System of a Down....Disturbed....Paramore...3 Doors Down...Linkin Park..Staind...KoRn (yes again)..Slipknot..Godsmack...Mudvayne.. basically alot of bands that were big in the 90s.. I would still consider the best in this decade.. with a few new comers.. AND IDKY.. but I just always liked Paramore about all the new coming band... and probably I would consider the most overrated band of this decade to be Nickelback :P but ya I would love to see your guys lists and opinions :)...
